Health, Hygiene and Safety Measures

The World Health Organization has declared Coronavirus the causal agent of COVID-19, as a public health emergency of international scope. To avoid risks and infections, Monte Vale Pereiro has developped an internal protocol that defines the necessary prevention, control and surveillance procedures. This establishment declares to comply with the requirements defined by the Portuguese Tourism Board, in accordance with the guidelines of the Portuguese National Health Service, which allow it to be considered a HEALTHY & SAFE establishment.

Before your arrival:

  • Cleaned the house according to the cleaning protocol
  • Clean linen and towels, washed in accordance with the washing protocol.

 

At arrival

  • We warmly welcome you, but do not shake hands and keep an appropriate distance.
  • We put the key of the front door in the lock of your accommodation.

 

During your stay

  • Pool area is cleaned twice a day. Close to the entrance a dispenser with disinfectant handgel.

What to do if you feel sick?

Stay at your accommodation, Separate yourself from the rest of the group (stay in your bedroom), check body temperature on fever and inform us immediately by phone or text message. Phone: (+351) 938277430

Cleaning protocol

Use of chlorine and disinfectant cleaning products


Kitchen and lounge

  • Clean towels, washed in accordance with the washing protocol.
  • Wipe down worktops, sink, units, chairs, tables and baby equipment.
  • Clean appliances (refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee machine)
  • Sweep and mop the floor.
  • Restock bin bags, dishcloths and replenish hand soap.
  • Empty bins and disinfect.
  • Wipe place mats and coasters.
  • Clean cutlery, pots, pans, crockery, glassware and utensils for grime, breakages or chips.
  • Wipe with over all the surfaces – furniture, blinds, picture frames, shelves, window sills, skirting boards, ornaments, lamps and get rid of glass rings.
  • Change blanket from the couch
  • Clean windows
  • Check remotes and batteries, and clean them
  • Throw out any surplus magazines.

Bathroom

  • Clean bath mat and towels, washed in accordance with the washing protocol.
  • Remove leftover toiletries.
  • Empty bin.
  • Wipe down units and countertop.
  • Clean shower, sink
  • Remove any plughole debris.
  • Check silicone for mould/pink stains.
  • Clean mirror.
  • Shine taps.
  • Clean toilet.
  • Mop floor.
  • Restock liquid hand soap, toiletries and toilet paper.

 

Bedroom(s)

  • Clean linen and towels, washed in accordance with the washing protocol.
  • Check for wear and tear or stains on linen, mattress covers, throws and pillows.
  • Check under the bed and in drawers for personal belongings left by guests.
  • Clean, mopping the floor and under beds.
  • Wipe furniture, clean mirrors and windows.

 

Exterior

  • Wipe down outdoor furniture.
  • Clean barbeque.
  • Clean terrace.

Washing protocol

Separate washing by machine and at high temperatures of employees’ clothes and bedding/cloths (about 60ยบC).
